Emergency Rental Assistance Program (ERAP)

Helps DC renters pay back rent, current rent, security deposits, and first month's rent. Prevents evictions and housing instability.

👤Who Qualifies

DC renter households at or below 80% AMI who have experienced financial hardship due to COVID-19 or other circumstances.

Up to 15 months of rental assistance, plus security deposit and first month

Home Purchase Assistance Program (HPAP)

Interest-free loan for down payment and closing costs for first-time DC homebuyers.

👤Who Qualifies

First-time DC homebuyers with household income at or below 80% AMI. Must complete homebuyer counseling.

💵How Much

Up to $202,000 for very low-income households (0-50% AMI), $130,000 for low-income (51-80% AMI)

Down payment assistance for DC homebuyers with moderate incomes who don't qualify for HPAP.
